They didn't all come for Vision.

People talked, pretended. He'd seen what went into their virtual profiles and records in the neverending flow of electrons, bits, and bytes. But for all he experienced computer activity the same way another smelled or tasted or heard, he knew how much it lacked for insight.

It was the girl whose very atoms tried to shake apart that came for his sister and her impenetrable shields to hold her together. The girl who melted reality. The girl who slipped right through it.

They came for his sister, for each other. They stayed for him.
