For Beauty and For Thorns (poem)

Blade/Flame Bright

Text

Imagine me stretched out beneath you
The sound of my blades ringing on steel
You flick them away with your skill with the sword
Our breathing harsh in each other's ears
Soft against each other's skin
I imagine your fingers clever and warm
We dance together hand in hand
I'm spun around in the heat of your gaze
Drunk on the love we have always felt

Come with me, love, to the rooms where we train
Bathe me in flame and I'll pin you with knives
Kiss me with the heat of your mouth
The flames on your tongue will warm me through
You name me for beauty, for beauty and thorns
I love you because you bleed on my edge
You love me because I am beauty and thorns
I love you because you are fire and storms
