Team 7 has been considered voluntary since Brushfire chose to stay during Team 5's escape. Despite their voluntary status, the marital privilege was consistently denied to Thought, who applied multiple times to marry Tactic. They ended up splitting over the strain this put on their relationship.
Thought's twin brother is Vision, leader of Team 14. They maintain contact telepathically.
Retriever, Lightsculpt, and Burn are best friends. Burn and Thought are training partners who consider each other siblings. Burn and Universe married in their teen years.
Burn's father volunteered him for the program when it launched, which his mother, Janine Browning, discovered only after the fact. She returned to active military duty and applied successfully to team administration, under the condition that she never mention her relationship to her son.

Red Wolf arrived at the same time as Justus of Team 34, but he was able to undergo processing and lost all of his pre-operative memories. He was named for Wolf's ability (Team 95), which is an ability to constrain or suppress energy in others.
The Christian died in an anti-terrorist mission, where Whisper's revenge earned her the rank of top assassin in the entire Department.

This team has voluntary operative status.
Vision is one of the operatives who never lost his memory. His twin sister is Shield or Thought from Team 7. Mirage also never lost her memory and has a twin in the program, her brother Storm, who initially led Team 8. While they bonded over this, Mirage eventually went rogue, unwilling to continue working with the Projects.
Vision occasionally trained members from other teams in particular skills, e.g. ballet for Dancer from Team 84.
Shadow joined Team 14 after the initial meeting period. He showed up in training beside Air and became known as her "shadow". They have always trained in near unison and are very close. Other names for the pair include Lock (him) and Key (her) and her name because of her dancing, Skytouch. She is an exodimensional with control over the tangibility of anything outside her body. He is a telekinetic. He's known for never talking, and his best friend is Teller. Her best friend is Knot.
After Mirage left, all the team members ranked under moved up one rank.

Watcher struck a deal with her team's administration and left the team to become administration when Shift was sixteen. Instead of Kilter ranking up to first, Watcher gave Shift first and kept Kilter at second because he would be more effective at reining Shift in from that arrangement. Sear ranked up from fourth to third, but the rest of the ranks largely remained unchanged due to the arrival of Justus, who quickly earned fourth rank. He was never processed and has no special abilities or memory loss.

Ice is deceased. In an incident where he endangered his team, Wave was killed and War stepped in to stop Ice, which resulted in his death. Prior to this, Wave and Glass had just started a relationship. After Ice's death, the team did not adjust their ranks to close the gap as normal.
Roommates include Golden and War, and Glass and Breathe. War married Plans from Team 111 while undercover when they were still teenagers.

Roommate pairs are Wolf and Ice Queen, Augment and Stream, Arc and Skylight, and Bridge and Math. Ice Queen and Skylight consider each other sisters because of an incident in Lorden when Skylight was ten years old. Skylight and Math marry immediately after the Thorn Rebellion.
