by our fruits
known by our love
if we don't love, then it is known that
we are not the children of God

Your glory find
in summer leaves
in blooming rose
in gentle breeze
in golden reds
when those leaves fall
a flaming carpet
for us all
in frosted white
treasures of snow
in thickest ice
and water below
in brand new spring
the songbirds' call
for You, O Lord,
have made them all

#1
hope can be brutal
a light in your heart
when nothing before you
gives answer but dark
and you must keep going
forever it seems
chasing the glow
of hope and its dreams
but hope is required
like breath and like light
the feeling that carries
a soul through the night
one hour we emerge
and find a new day
'cause hope has become
a promise and stays

#1 Prayers #
Good morning, God
I pray to You
Please hold my hand
And help me through
Keep my mind-heart
Close to You
In all I think
Feel, say, and do
#2
a little bird told me, this was good morning
woke me from my dreams, seemed without warning
I feel a firm breeze, just shy of a storming
reach out fingers for comfort: my God, He will hold me
#3
For F and Y
there are bruises on my heart
in the shape of your fingers
memories pound me often
the love we had lingers
no matter how hard the battle
I'll keep reaching to you
never give up my knocking
until it gets through
Focus on the Sufficiency of Christ
Say I'm an epic failure. so what? Not only does God continue to want me, to love me, to be unwilling that any should perish, including me, but He has already promised it's okay if I am weak.
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." — 2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV
"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;" — 1 Corinthians 1:27 NKJV
His plan for me is not somehow less perfect because I'm not a superhero. And so I trust that, though it seems I continue to fail, if I commit my way to Him, He will bring glory—even from this. Even from me.
"Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass." — Psalm 37:5 NKJV
